Immunology and Infection Students’ Association

IMINSA serves as those who represent the students in the Immunology and Infection Program here at the University of Alberta. We strive to spread awareness about immunology, provide opportunities, connect individuals, and educate others.

IMINSA serves to…

Spread Awareness

Through various fundraisers such as the hoodie/microbe (pictured on the right) and the totebag/sticker, IMINSA aims to spread awareness about immunology. From these funds, we promote the Immunology and Infection program at the University of Alberta, hold events for students, and educate them about immunology.

Provide Opportunities

We hold several events, such as research night (pictured on the left), to guide students and provide them with future opportunities in the science field. Alongside research night, we also have available volunteer and sub-committee positions for students to further allow them to explore their interests.

Connect

IMINSA hosts social events such as the fall mixer (pictured here) for members to connect and get to know to one another. It is an excellent opportunity to make friends and build relationships.

Educate

We believe that it is crucial for people of all ages to learn about the importance of immunology. To communicate this knowledge, we run programs like USchool (pictured here), which educates children about the immune system in a fun and interactive manner.
